Nichiren Daishonin orally transmitted the teachings of Lotus Sutra. In this work President Ikeda explains and explores the heart of Nichiren Buddhism through key chapters of the Lotus Sutra. These explanations affirm that all people possess innate Buddhahood and can attain happiness through faith in Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. Highlighting the mentor-disciple bond and the vow for kosen-rufu, it emphasizes struggle as a source of growth, daily practice as transformation, and dialogue as a path to peace. The spirit of Bodhisattva Never Disparaging reveal that this saha world is the Land of Tranquil Light. The Soka Gakkai’s movement continues this mission, spreading the Mystic Law for the dignity and happiness of all.
